Linear speed is a very important indicator in the metal cutting process, and it plays a crucial role in determining the service life of high-speed steel saw blades. The general metal cutting manual contains some data on the processing line speed, which can be used as a reference.
Linear speed=saw blade diameter * 3.14 * RPM (spindle speed of pipe cutting machine)
Cut off time:
According to the different cutting materials, the feed rate of each tooth of the high-speed steel circular saw blade is generally between 0.02-0.05mm, which is an empirical value. If the power of the pipe cutting machine is high enough, the feed rate can be larger, otherwise it will be smaller. The general feed rate for carbon steel materials is 0.04mm.
